Last week I lost my brain and missed the deadline for the Sunglass Hut Full Time Fabulous Blogger Search.

It was my own damn fault.

I had it in my head, "Get it in by midnight. Just get it in by midnight."

I shoulda had this in my head, "Get it in by midnight, ET. Just get it in by midnight, ET."

Eastern. Time. Zone.

Cuss YOU!, eastern time zone.
You're not even worthy of capitalization.

I missed it by 55 minutes. Fifty-five stinkin' minutes that was spent adding superflous crap that I didn't need. Like clips of the word "symbolism" and images of "onomatopoeia" and montages of iconic sunglass moments . . .

So yeah. I coulda had my video in on time. But I opted for perfection.

That's right, Sunglass Hut.
You coulda had yourself a perfectionist blogger (minus that one spot at the end when I was editing and accidently clipped the very important two words "Not since . . ." that's supposed to come right before "…Andy Sachs . . ." which very obviously would've made the video so much better).

But Nooooooooo.
Apparently, for you, time zone adherence trumps almost perfection.

You're such a time zone-ist. Gah.

Since then, I've emailed the powers that be over at the time zone-ist capitol of America pretty much e-ver-y day with my persistent little emails subjected, "Wherein I beg." Or "Wherein I Continue to beg." Even "Wherein I Continue to beg and Squeek like the Squeeky Wheel Who gets the Cheese (wink, wink)."

But nada.

Not even an "I'm sorry crazy lady, but your submission was not in by our time zone-ist standards… Quit using you people's Central Standard Time Zone lame-ass excuses . . .
YOU.    ARE   NEVER.       GOING.        TO GET.          THE CHEESE. "

Nada. Just silence.

So without any further due, I'll just go ahead and post that video up here . . . on my own website where I can pick and choose what I want to publish and where I have no need for the time zone.
