I don’t even know how I can continue to title these “training updates” as my training is pretty much non-existent.

WHY (oh-why) is it so hard for me to commit to this? Is there some body out there that can psycho-analyze me and get to the root of my problem? I’m giving you free reign. Comment away!

So I’m obviously NOT going to be attempting to do the Wurst Sprint Triathlon on September 12. I mean. I guess I could do like I did for last year’s San Antonio Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon and just do it cold-turkey (no training–just pure ignorant stupidity), but it would surely not be very pretty.

The next up on the list is the Trek Women’s Austin Triathlon which is on the map for October 3. That’s just 5 weeks. Do I even dare?

[time elapsed: 15 minutes]

I just registered. I’m $85 in.

Here’s the plan:

1) I will Run 5k every evening M-F (making up for Tim’s on-call nights on the weekend)

2) I will Bike the Mission Trail (RT) every T and W, when June is in school

3) I will Swim 16 laps (32 lengths of my 25 meter pool) every M, R & F

4) I will do it.

5) I will wear that darn chip (I have raced two races, that I will not identify, without the chip because I was so cussing paranoid that other people* would see my pathetic race times) AND I WILL DO IT.
