The traditional gift for the fifth anniversary is wood. The wood symbolizes a relationship that has become solid and long-lasting, representing the growing strength of the marriage bond.

Our tree is an oak. A symbol of strength and endurance. America's national tree. The mythological gateway between worlds. Sacred to Thor, the symbol of Zeus. The tree of righteousness.

Would I do it again?

omg. I had no idea that our anniversaries would end up being SO close together. It must be serendipitous that the “nut” of your oak tree (b/c they produce acorns right?) – Juniper – was part of our (me and Chris) “Arbor Day” last weekend. She was so cute, and I can’t WAIT to get the pics back and send to you!
Thank you so much for being there in a pinch for me – luyya “gurlfran”!!
