I took the 43 Things Personality Quiz and found out I’m a Traveling Reinventing Health Nut and that 0% of the 20,892 people who have taken the quiz are like me. And then I took the 43 Things Personality Quiz again and found that I’m a Healthy Traveling Self Improver and that, once again, 0% of the 20,909 people who have taken the quiz are like me. (Did 17 people really take the quiz during the 30 seconds it took me to re-take it?) And now I want to know exactly what being a Traveling Reinventing Health Nut and/or Healthy Traveling Self Improver means! Which is probably why the wise marketers of the Dream It. List It. Do It! How to Live a Bigger and Bolder Life from the Life List Experts at 43Things.com decided to put the quiz on their site… to promote the purchase of their book. Which is exactly what I’m going to do the next time I’m at my absolute favorite book store, Books & Co.

But this isn’t just about the book, Dream It. List It. Do It! In fact, it has nothing to do with the book itself—that was just a little detour that I had to share with you. This is mostly about my new year’s resolutions. I made some up and wrote them down and I encourage you to do the same. The 43Things.com site is pretty cool. You write down your resolutions (43 of them)—the whole concept is that writing them down helps you to commit to achieving them—and there’s a whole network of people in the community that can help cheer you on (or not, if you so choose). I used the site to write down a few of my goals and as I complete each one of them, I can move them over to the “I’ve done” list. I’m going to update the site yearly—I think it’ll be a great way for me to view exactly what I’m accomplishing (or not) on a yearly basis. Of course, once I do achieve a goal, I’ll add more goals that I’d like to accomplish… no one should be satisfied with the status quo, right?
